How Visual Comfort orders reach you
Once your order is confirmed at VC Gallery, we prepare the shipment and DHL delivers to your address across continental Europe. You receive tracking as soon as the parcel is dispatched. Our Milan address at Via Filippo Turati 3 is our showroom, open by appointment for clients who wish to see fixtures in person.
All Visual Comfort fixtures dispatched by VC Gallery are rewired for European 220-240V standards and ready to install. You do not need adapters, transformers, or electrical modifications.

Visual Comfort delivery cost depends on order value and destination.
Italy
- Orders under €350: €50 shipping
- Orders €350 and above: free shipping
European Union, non-DAP countries
Progressive rate, €25 for every €500 of order value.

Lead time starts from order confirmation. Chain or drop adjustments and other customizations add at least 2 weeks to production.
DAP countries
DAP means Delivered At Place. The shipping fee at checkout covers transport to your country, but import duties and DHL brokerage are billed to you separately upon arrival.
Visual Comfort DAP countries at VC Gallery: Switzerland, Norway, Cyprus, Monaco, Marbella (Spain), Tenerife (Canary Islands), Ireland.
What happens. At checkout you pay a shipping fee equal to 10 percent of order value. When the parcel reaches your country, DHL clears customs on your behalf. DHL then contacts you by SMS or email with a link to pay import duties and brokerage. The exact amount depends on your item, its declared value, and your country's tariff. VC Gallery cannot pre-calculate the duty because it is set by your customs authority.
All other European Union countries are DDP. You pay the price shown on the site plus shipping if applicable, and nothing else on delivery.
VAT on Visual Comfort orders
- Private buyer The displayed price includes 22 percent Italian VAT. You pay the site price and nothing else.
- Business buyer with a valid EU VAT number VAT is removed at your request. Contact our sales team by email or WhatsApp with your VAT number before checkout, or ask for a formal quotation. We validate the number in VIES, issue the invoice with reverse charge, and you account for VAT in your own country.
- Buyer in Switzerland or Norway Non-EU VAT numbers do not change our treatment. The displayed price applies, and DAP rules define what you pay on delivery.
Customization and delivery
Visual Comfort allows chain and drop length adjustments on most pendants and chandeliers. This is confirmed on the SKU at order time and adds at least 2 weeks to production. Other customizations (finish, dimensions, materials) depend on the model. Send us the SKU and we confirm what is possible before you commit.
Chain and drop adjustments do not change the shipping cost.
What to do on delivery day
Visual Comfort fixtures are shipped in protective packaging designed for international transport. Even so, the single most important step is verifying the shipment on arrival.
- Photograph the outer box before opening.
- If the box shows visible damage, open it in the presence of the DHL driver.
- Check the fixture for dents, cracked glass, scratched finishes, and missing parts.
- Do not install the fixture until you are satisfied it is intact.
- If damage is present, take photos and contact VC Gallery within 24 hours.
Why this matters. Transport insurance claims against DHL are honored only when damage is reported at delivery. If you sign the delivery note as accepted and open the box later, proving in-transit damage becomes very difficult. This is a Visual Comfort policy applied across all authorized dealers.
Returns and claims
- Returns (change of mind) Available on any Visual Comfort fixture within 14 days of delivery, provided the fixture is uninstalled: cables not cut, no scratches on mounting parts, packaging intact. A 15 percent restocking fee is retained by Visual Comfort. Return shipping is at your expense. As an alternative, we can arrange an exchange for another product from the catalog: in that case the 15 percent fee is waived and you pay only return shipping.
- Factory defect Paint miss, non-working switch, malformed casting, or similar production issue. Send photos (video for electrical). Options: on-site repair by your electrician (we reimburse up to €150) or full replacement. Return shipping is free.
- Transport damage Dents, broken glass, scratched finishes discovered on delivery. Photograph and report immediately. Visual Comfort files an insurance claim with DHL and arranges replacement. Return shipping is free.
- Wrong item If Visual Comfort or VC Gallery shipped the wrong SKU, we arrange free exchange. Return shipping is free.
