Twelve names on the same frame

A Bronte chair exists in Venezia Gold Leaf and in Black with Florentine Gold. A Phyllon table exists in White Walnut and in Platinum. The frame does not change, the surface does, and the surface is what the room sees. Gilding is applied by hand, which is why those two names sit apart from the woods and the lacquers.

The Astra chair, from the inside

Four parts and one idea. The backrest carries an integrated handle, so the chair lifts with one hand instead of two. Seat and back are fully upholstered, and the covering is chosen from fabrics or full grain leather. Nothing is stocked: the chair is built after the order, in the finish and the cloth that were named on it.

Made in Cerea Since 1965

Sevensedie was founded in 1965 by Diego Piva, who opened a small woodworking workshop in Cerea, near Verona, to make wooden chairs. Today the company is led by Massimo, Federico and Luca, who keep the original focus on quality while bringing in new technology.

Skilled craftspeople work alongside modern machinery. Sevensedie buys wood only from suppliers that practise reforestation, and its plant runs on a solar power system. The Sevensedie Design Language

Sevensedie covers a wider stylistic range than most Italian chair makers, from classic to contemporary, for homes as well as hotels and restaurants.

Chair-first heritage. The company started with wooden chairs, and chairs are still the largest part of the catalogue.
Classic. Hand-carved details and gold or silver leaf, as on the Chiara chair.
Contemporary. Clean lines and polished or lacquered finishes, as on the Ellipse and Moon tables.
Made to measure. Most pieces can be ordered in different wood finishes and upholstery.

"Which Sevensedie collections are the most iconic?"

The catalogue spans chairs, armchairs, sofas, dining tables, coffee tables and sideboards, but a handful of pieces define the brand.

Dante. The Dante upholstered dining chair, with a small armchair version, blends classic lines with contemporary comfort.
Chiara. The Chiara high-back chair has a hand-carved backrest and front legs, with optional gold or silver leaf.
Kalo. The Kalo sofa comes as a three-seater or a sofa bed.
