"How do I know I'm buying authentic Vistosi Murano glass?"

Every Vistosi fixture is mouth-blown and finished by Vetreria Vistosi in Mogliano Veneto, near Venice. VC Gallery is an authorized Vistosi dealer: orders are placed with the factory directly and each fixture is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Authorized dealer. We order every piece from Vetreria Vistosi; nothing comes from third-party stock.
Handmade Murano tradition. Master glassmakers mouth-blow the pieces in lead-free glass, using techniques covered by more than 300 patented models.

"Does Vistosi ship to Italy, France, Germany and the rest of Europe?"

Yes. Vistosi collections are made to order after your order is confirmed, then delivered across Italy and Europe. The lead time is shown on each product page; for most models it is currently 45 to 60 days. Larger custom commissions can take longer and are confirmed in the quote.

Because every piece is made to order, delivery is calculated in your quote. The United Kingdom, the United States and the rest of the world are served on request. Full terms: Vistosi delivery. Murano Glassmaking Since 1585

Vistosi traces its roots to 1585, when Vincenzo Gazzabin first appeared in the Murano glassmakers' registers. In 1640 the Gazzabin family acquired the Al Bastian furnace, and around 1690 the name Vistosi, meaning striking or showy, appeared as the nickname of an heir to the Gazzabin glassworks. In 1791 Gio-Batta Vistosi was appointed Gastaldo dell'Arte, head of the Murano glassmakers' guild.

The modern chapter began after the Second World War, when Guglielmo Vistosi, heir of the Gazzabin family, opened a new glass factory in Murano. Between 1969 and 1980 Vistosi worked with designers such as Gae Aulenti, Angelo Mangiarotti, Ettore Sottsass, Adalberto Dal Lago and Vico Magistretti. In 1989 Giancarlo Moretti, an entrepreneur from Murano, took over the company and created Vetreria Vistosi; from 1993 his son Matteo Moretti led a deep reorganization. The Designers Behind Vistosi

Vistosi is design-driven in a way few glass houses are. The catalogue has been built through collaborations with leading architects and designers, and many collections carry the signature of an author.

Angelo Mangiarotti. Designed Giogali in 1967.
Vico Magistretti. Designed the Alega collection in 1970.
Romani Saccani Architetti Associati. Signed the Diadema family, whose glass rods are made with a patented technique, and Puppet.
Chiaramonte & Marin. Created the Neochic family.
Favaretto & Partners. Designed the Jube family.
Gae Aulenti, Ettore Sottsass, Adalberto Dal Lago, Michele De Lucchi. Historic collaborations that placed Vistosi at the centre of Italian design.

"Which Vistosi collections are the most iconic?"

Six collections define Vistosi in the international lighting landscape, each built on a distinct glass technique, from crystal hooks to rods made with a patented technique and hot-spun glass.

Giogali. The 1967 Mangiarotti hook system, reconfigurable into chandeliers, pendants, floor lamps and modular curtains.
Diadema. Romani Saccani's rod-based family that breaks light into shifting reflections.
Jube. A complete family with pendant, wall, table and floor versions, offered in several glass colours.
Puppet. Sculptural blown-glass pendants by Romani Saccani in a broad range of sizes, for a residential dining room or a hospitality lobby.
Damasco. A collection shaped by hot spinning applied to the whole piece.

How to Choose a Vistosi Fixture for Your Room

Vistosi collections span pendants, wall lights, table lamps and floor lamps, and each family behaves differently once installed. A short checklist helps you match the right piece to the right space.

Start from the room type. A dining table wants a horizontal chandelier or a long linear pendant; a hallway wants smaller pendants at a comfortable head height; a staircase wants a vertical cascade of small units on long cords.
Confirm the ceiling drop. The overall height is listed on each product page, and chain and drop length can be adjusted on request. Send us the ceiling height with the SKU and we confirm the achievable drop.
Match glass colour and finish. Each collection offers its own glass colours and metal finishes. Ask us for samples if the interior palette is precise.
Check the socket and bulbs. The socket type (for example E14 or E27) is listed on each product page. Bulbs are not included and are bought separately. We confirm dimmability for the exact model.
Check the lead time. Everything is made to order, so production is scheduled once the order is confirmed. The lead time is shown on each product page, currently 45 to 60 days for most models.

"Will a Vistosi fixture work on European mains, and what's the warranty?"

Vistosi is an Italian brand, made in Mogliano Veneto near Venice to European standards. No adapter is needed between the fixture and the mains, and every fixture is ready to install by a qualified European electrician.

Voltage. Vistosi collections are made for European 220–240V mains.
Warranty. Every fixture is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
Bulbs. Not included; bought separately. The socket type is listed on each product page.
Certification. CE marked.

I was a little nervous when purchasing a large chandelier from VC Gallery Milan as this was my first purchase and a high value item. I took my time to make my decision. I placed my order at the end of March and received the item at the end of April. I dealt with Svetlana who made sure to keep in touch with me from start to finish. She also checked in once the item was delivered to see if everything was fine. It was a while before my electrician had the availability to install the chandelier. But once the item was installed I let Svetlana know that all parts were intact and installed. All in all I had a really positive experience. I would just say that sometimes the 14 days to raise any concerns post delivery may not be feasible for larger items that require trades people to unbox and install.
