When mounting exterior wall lights beside a door, position the fixtures at eye level, or 152 - 165cm from the ground. For the best spread of light, the fixture should measure at least 1/4 the height of the door. If installing a light on only one side of the door, position the fixture on the same side as the doorknob in order to see your visitors’ faces after dark.

Can the Halle Large Wall Lantern be used outdoors?
Yes. It is rated IP44, protected against splashing water, so it can go on an exterior wall by an entrance, garage or terrace. It is a Class I fixture and must be connected to earth.
How big is the Halle Large Wall Lantern?
It is 58.4 cm tall and 25.4 cm wide, and projects 22.9 cm from the wall. It mounts on a 24.1 × 41.3 cm rectangular backplate, a size in proportion with a main front door.
What bulb does the Halle Large Wall Lantern take?
One E27 bulb, T10 tubular shape, up to 60 W. The socket is keyless, so the lantern is switched from the wall switch or a sensor. With an LED bulb it gives about 800–1000 lumens through the clear glass.
