When mounting exterior wall lights beside a door, position the fixtures at eye level, or 152 - 165cm from the ground. For the best spread of light, the fixture should measure at least 1/4 the height of the door. If installing a light on only one side of the door, position the fixture on the same side as the doorknob in order to see your visitors’ faces after dark.

Yes. It is rated IP44, protected against splashing water, so it can be fitted on an exterior wall by an entrance, a side door or a terrace. It is a Class I fixture and must be connected to earth.
How big is the Halle Medium Wall Lantern?
It is 45.7 cm tall and 22.2 cm wide, and projects 20.3 cm from the wall. It mounts on a 19 × 31.8 cm rectangular backplate, a size that suits a standard front or back door.
What bulb does the Halle Medium Wall Lantern take?
One E27 bulb, T10 tubular shape, up to 60 W. The socket is keyless, so it is switched from the wall switch or a sensor. With an LED bulb it gives about 800–1000 lumens.
